The 5cm Mushroom Mic Foams have been designed to fit small pencil condenser microphones like SCHOEPS and Sennheiser MKH 50 when used with a RAD shock mount.
Shaped like a mushroom, the foam has a thick circular end around the capsule with a hollow cavity which provides a larger dead-air space. The thinnest part of the foam that wraps around the microphones has been lined with silicone to create a non-slip grip. *The tapered shape allows it to be pushed all the way on very short condensers (e.g. CMC 1 U) whereas the thin area fits without touching the RAD hoops.
A fur Mini Windcover was designed to fit perfectly over the mushroom foam to extra wind protection.
